The Refiner's Fire, upon request from a reader, recently contacted a website called "Saint Michael the Archangel Organization" concerning their ONE MILLION ROSARIES FOR UNBORN BABIES A Three-Day, Multinational Pro-Life Prayer event for 2009.

"Praying the rosary" entails the following:

• Make the Sign of the Cross and say the "Apostles' Creed."
  
• Say the "Our Father."
  
• Say three "Hail Marys."
  
• Say the "Glory be to the Father."
  
• Announce the First Mystery; then say the "Our Father."
  
• Say ten "Hail Marys," while meditating on the Mystery.
  
• Say the "Glory be to the Father."
  
• Announce the Second Mystery; then say the "Our Father." Repeat 6 and 7 and continue with Third, Fourth and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.

Our question was: "While it is a worthy cause to pray for the unborn who are being butchered around the world on a daily basis, I'm just wondering what Mary has to do with it? She's not the Savior...."

The responses in the ensuing email correspondence from the webmaster, Patrick Benedict, included the following short sentences:

• Blessed Mary is the ever-Virgin Mother of God.
  
  
• With regards to the word "brethren"(Saint Matthew 13:55) or the word "sisters"(Saint Matthew 13:56): These words are not to be understood as siblings of Jesus Christ. The "brethren" and "sisters" may have been cousins.
  
  
• The Blessed Virgin Mary is alive in heaven.
  
  
• The Holy Bible does not forbid asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to pray for us.
  
  
• Jesus Christ said "...thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church..." The Church here spoken of is the Catholic Church. Jesus Christ's blood purchased the Church.
  
  
• I am not going to respond to everything you said because it would be too time-consuming. And, another thing, I am very tired right now. But, I will say this: A teaching is false if it is contrary to any of the truths of the Catholic Church.
  
  
• If you send another email, I ask that it be much shorter and limited to one topic.

Our responses included the below....

• I hope you read this entire email. It isn't too long, even for tired people...

• The Aramaic (the original language the NT was written in) for "brothers and sisters" shows that Yeshua's siblings were blood-siblings, natural brothers AND his sisters via Yeshua's mother who bore them! Therefore, Matthew 13:55-56 can only be ignored by those who WANT to ignore the Truth! How can anyone twist this:
  
  Matthew 13: 55 Isn't he the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother called Miryam? and his brothers Ya`akov, Yosef, Shim`on and Y'hudah? 56 And his sisters, aren't they all with us?...."
  
  
• Amazingly, you did what most people do: You simply rebut with OPINIONS and stick to your own man-made doctrine, and never bother to respond to the Scriptural proof you have been presented with...and you expect the world to simply swallow your man-made opinions!
  
  
• Peter was not the head of the church that Christ built and the Scriptures VERIFY that fact! Peter was a married man, so how could he be your first pope and, much less, the head of the church? Matthew 8:14: "Yeshua went to Kefa's (Peter's) home and there saw Kefa's (Peter's) mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever."....Does the Bible tell us the Peter was a pope? No, because NONE of the Apostles went on to become "popes" because there were NO POPES in Yeshua's circle and He never suggested there should be any! And since Catholics do not allow the pope, cardinal, bishop or priest to marry, HOW could Peter have been the first pope?
  
  
• Yeshua was the "cornerstone"!!! READ THESE SCRIPTURES below, and then tell us how you are going to twist the above to show Peter was the first Pope:
  
  Ephesians 2: 19 So then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers. On the contrary, you are fellow-citizens with God's people and members of God's family. 20 You have built on the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, with the cornerstone being Yeshua the Messiah himself. 21 In union with him the whole building is held together, and it is growing into a holy temple in union with the Lord. 22 Yes, in union with him, you yourselves are being built together into a spiritual dwelling-place for God!".
  
  Rav Sha'ul (Apostle Paul) wrote to the church at Corinth: 1 Cor. 3: "Using the grace God gave me, I laid a foundation, like a skilled master-builder; and another man is building on it. But let each one be careful how he builds. 11 For no on can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Yeshua the Messiah."
  
  
• I feel very sorry for you and for the millions of deceived Catholics who prefer to believe without thinking, as do you, that: A teaching is false if it is contrary to any of the truths of the Catholic Church. In other words, man's doctrine and false beliefs trump whatever Yeshua actually said and what the Scriptures actually tells us....No wonder God gave us Matthew 7:13 to show that most won't be going to heaven on Judgment Day! I will keep you in my prayers, Patrick, because you're just another lost soul.
