The following article is addressed to Jeff Cross and James Lloyd of Christian Media Research and all other Christians who think they have replaced the Jews and Israel....Christian Media Research is an organization that comes across as if their ministry has cornered the market on Truth - yet nothing could be further from the Truth! Let's examine just one of their articles - one in which they attack one of their fellow Christians. (We invite you to read that article before examining our response.)
One of the most glaring errors in Jeff Cross' short article is his following comment:
|
Jeff Cross' comments:
The Scriptures, both New Testament and Old, make it abundantly plain that we, the born-again Christians, regardless of our race or genealogy, are the Lord's "chosen people," and it is we who have the obligation, responsibility and ability, by way of the Holy Ghost, to be a light unto the nations of the world during the dark times that lie ahead of us in the Christ-rejecting world.
|
Ouch! Well, let's see now: The "born again Christians" have not only borrowed pagan customs from the idolatrous Catholic Church who, as a body, are guilty of twisting the teachings of our Savior Yeshua (or Y'shua) whose Name in Hebrew means "YHWH/Yahweh is Salvation" - and are adhering instead to the much-misunderstood and misinterpreted writings of the Apostle Paul. They, like the Catholics, have not only changed the Name of our Savior, but also the dates of His birth, death and resurrection. And to add insult to injury, they have totally ignored His "forever" commands concerning the Seventh Day Sabbath and the Biblical Feasts and come up with their own "holy days" that include the "let's lie to our kids by telling them about Santa" Christmas, and the Ishtar worshiping theology of Easter - both of which are steeped in paganism....
But yet, according to Jeff Cross at Christian Media Research, we should believe that "born again Christians" with their 33,000 "denominations" have Biblical Truth? Yeah, right....
Secondly, since when is the Holy Spirit a "ghost"? Most English translators follow the tradition of using "holy ghost." Holy is etymologically derived from the word "heile" referring to the warmth of the sun; "ghost" is a saxon term that refers to the spirit of a dead person; neither are consistent with being Set Apart for the Kingdom of Elohim.
Thirdly, let's get something straight about the word, "Lord", shall we? Y'shua declares that he himself, along with all of mankind, is required to live by the "Words" of YHWH, and that the Commandments Y'shua teaches are in fact YHWH's Commandments from Torah. However, Greek/English translators inserted the title Kurios/Lord, for both YHWH and Y'shua, rather than using original Names. Christian theologians then began teaching the fallacy that their "New Testaments" were the "new" Word, or new "Commandments of Y'shua" that replaced the original Word of YHWH, which is Torah. See John 8:36 (47); 12:48-50; 13:34; 14:10-21; 1 John 2:3-8; 2 John 1:5,6. (The last two paragraphs were footnotes from Andrew Gabriel Roth's Aramaic English New Testament.)
Now, about "the Lord's 'chosen people'" - how can "born again Christians" possibly REPLACE His Chosen, especially since YHWH said the following:
Genesis 12:3 - "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Deuteronomy 7:6-8: For you are a people set apart as holy for ADONAI your God. ADONAI your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his own unique treasure. 7 ADONAI didn't set his heart on you or choose you because you numbered more than any other people - on the contrary, you were the fewest of all peoples. 8 Rather, it was because ADONAI loved you, and because he wanted to keep the oath which he had sworn to your ancestors, that ADONAI brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from a life of slavery under the hand of Pharoah king of Egypt.
Is there ANY PLACE in the Bible where GOD actually said His Chosen could be replaced? And why would He replace them with a bunch of Gentiles who have negated His Word, changed His Savior's Name along with the dates of His birth, death and resurrection, and come up with their own ungodly "holy days?" Please pay special attention to the following:
Jeremiah 31:35-37: This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar- the LORD Almighty is his name: "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the LORD, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me." This is what the LORD says: "Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done," declares the LORD.
Romans 11:25-27: "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

Jeff Cross' comments:
In closing I can only say that I feel sorry for Jack and those Christians that
buy into his heretical teaching, for they are committing the sin of Esau by
giving up their own spiritual birthright and failing to exercise the full
responsibility and authority that they have been invested with by the gift of
the Holy Spirit; by imputing to a group of people who are not under the blood
atonement of Jesus the status of "chosen people."
|
"...imputing to a group of people who are not under the blood atonement of Jesus the status of "chosen people." Oh, may YHWH help us all! So, because "the Jews" don't adhere to your Torah-less blond adonis called "Jesus" they have lost their status as God's Chosen, and God has given it to YOU - someone who has totally trashed the Scriptures by ignoring the teachings of Yeshua, our Torah observant, Seventh Day Sabbath and Biblical Feast-keeping, kosher, JEWISH Messiah...You believe God has given the status to YOU - someone who is adhering to the much misunderstood/misinterpreted writings of Paul on which all of Christianity is based (never mind what Yeshua taught!), because that somehow makes you closer to God than "the Jews"?
Newsflash, Jeff! Religious Jews KNOW their God because they OBEY Him - which puts THEM a whole lot closer to Him than you are! They don't believe in your Torahless blond adonis because he is NOT the Jewish Messiah who actually walked this Earth 2,000 years ago!
Another newsflash. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob weren't Gentiles; they were Hebrews. HOWEVER, did you also happen to notice that everyone (beginning with Cain and Abel), all the way up until Judaism came into existence when Jacob gave birth to Judah, was Torah observant? Let's study this a little further:
The term "Jews" has become a universal and general term denoting anyone from Israel who believes in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The thing is, there were no "Jews" until Jacob, from whom came the tribe of Judah. The patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (see Gen. 17; 25; 27 and 28; Matthew 1:2) weren't "Jews," but they weren't goyim (gentiles/heathens/pagans) either, because they were Torah observant - meaning they obeyed God's "DOs" and "DON'Ts." (Everyone up until then did, including Cain and Abel who offered sin sacrifices, and Noah who knew the difference between "clean and unclean" - and none of them were "Jews"!) The Tribe of Judah (the Jews) produced King David, and David's family produced Messiah Yeshua (whom Christians call Jesus)....
Now - instead of condemning "the Jews" for not believing in your Jesus, it would be good to remember this: If it hadn't been for God's CHOSEN (many of whom at the time WERE believers in Messiah Yeshua) being scattered into the nations (Ezekiel 36:19) YHWH would have remained the best-kept secret of tiny, little Israel; and the rest of the world - including you people at Christian Media Research - would still be writhing in Paganism. One cannot condemn those Jews who are not yet believers in Messiah because God hasn't opened their spiritual eyes. They are, however, Torah observant believers in YHWH, which brings them a lot closer to God than any Christian who ignores God's original divine teachings in favor of Sun-day worship and paganistic "holidays."
Instead of condemning "the Jews" and attempting to place yourself above them, you would do well to consult the Holy Spirit to help you understand the following:
Numbers 15: 13 "'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do. 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD: 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.'"
Please re-read the above in case you missed it: Non-Jews/Hebrews are "aliens"/foreigners. God was very specific what what non-Jews/Hebrews were to do: The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come....It could not be any clearer.
Please note that YHWH made His NEW COVENANT with the Houses of Israel and Judah (Jeremiah 31:32); not with the Christians, Catholics, Muslims, or anyone else....Through His grace and mercy, Gentiles are grafted in to the Olive Tree/Israel (Romans 11). And God told Israel: "I give you good instruction: Do not forsake my Torah" (Proverbs 4:2). Paul reiterated this when he said: Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. (Romans 3:31)

Jeff Cross' comments:
We need look no farther than 1 John 2:22 to see what the scriptures teach about those who continue to reject Jesus as Messiah:
"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." - 1 John 2:22
|
Perhaps Jeff Cross needs to be reminded that "antichrists" are also those who change God's appointed times: His Seventh Day Sabbath and the Biblical Feasts - which Christians have effectively done, judging by the names of the days of the weeks and months on our Gregorian calendars, which were all borrowed from pagan deities!
Daniel warned us to beware of those who would change the dates and times ordained by God:
Daniel 7: 25 He will speak words against the Most High and try to exhaust the holy ones of the Most High. He will attempt to alter the seasons and the law; and [the holy ones] will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
WHO has "altered the seasons" (mo'edim/appointed times)? Catholics, Christians, Muslims....This is because they believe Yeshua - who was not some "new god" but, rather, an ARM of YHWH/YHWH come in the Flesh - abolished all of the Father's original DIVINE instructions! Closer examination reveals that Yeshua said:
Matthew 5: 17 Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah - not until everything that must happen has happened. 19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot (words/commands) and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness is far greater than that of the Torah-teachers and P'rushim, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Has everything happened that must happen? Have heaven and earth passed away yet? If not, then we are supposed to be following Torah to the yud!
This also brings us to the last couple points about Jeff Cross' attack on Jack Hook; these being that he uses Catholic terms such as "St. Peter" and quotes from the King James Bible.
As mentioned before, the Catholic Church is directly responsible for introducing the world to "another gospel" that places Mary above Jesus and insists that Peter is the foundation stone of the church! Click here to see what all else is wrong with the Catholic Church.
As for the King James version of the Bible, let us count the ways it's off the mark:
- Acts 12 is totally rendered useless because of King James' use of the world "Easter." There was no "Easter" prior to Yeshua's death! Furthermore, "Easter" is a man-made "holiday" complete with the lie/myth of an egg-laying rabbit that has nothing, whatsoever to do with the actual resurrection.
Acts 12: 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
- King James (in Leviticus 12:8, 15:29 and Numbers 6:10) erroneously mistranslated the SLANG word for "TURTLE DOVES" (as sin sacrifices) from the original Aramaic, using the word, "turtles" instead. The problem is "turtles" could NOT POSSIBLY be used as sin sacrifices because they're not kosher!
Leviticus 12: 8 And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
Leviticus 15: 29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Numbers 6: 10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
- I John 5 (KJV): 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
I John 5:7-8 above is one of the verses that Christians attempt to use to prove the Trinity, because it seems as though John was defining the Father, Son and Spirit as three separate beings in one. But a more careful look reveals something strange. All the other versions completely omit everything after the word "heaven" in verse 7. Check out this excerpt from the Aramaic English New Testament:
1 John 5: 6. This is he who came by the water and the blood. Y'shua the Mashiyach; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit testifies; because the Spirit is truth. 7. Verse 7 is nonexistent in the Eastern Peshitta 8. And there are three witnesses, the Spirit and the water, and the blood: and these three are in union.
FOOTNOTE to 1 John 5: Appended text: (For there are three that testify in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Ruach haKodesh: and these three are one.), which is why Murdock puts the brackets and adds: "This verse is not wanting in most MSS., and is omitted in the edit. London, 1826." The fact is that this line was inserted under the authority of Constantine to promote the Trinity doctrine. It does not exist in the Peshitta nor the oldest Greek manuscripts of Aleph, A, B and the Vulgate. Christo-Paganism which originated before Constantine taught that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are numerically three separate beings, but yet "all the same" is a blatant violation of the First and Second Commandments (see Sh'mot/Exodus 20:1-6).
So what happened?
The answer is simple: King James added the line! 1 John 5:7-8 according to NIV says in the footnote: "Late manuscripts of the Vulgate testify in heaven, the Father, the Word and Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And there are three that testify in earth--not found in any Greek manuscript before the sixteenth century."
This shows that BOTH verses are late additions. Obviously, 5:7 is an addition post-397 CE, after the Council of Carthage and 5:8 is so late as to be meaningless. This is true because trinity was never, and is not, an original Biblical doctrine. It was a formulation of Constantine, Eusebius and others. Both Aramaic scholar Andrew Gabriel Roth (AENT) and Dr. George M. Lamsa deal with it from the Aramaic side. The 1998 re-issue of his NT (not the 1940 one that Harper still sells) restored his original notes and he says in these places "Carried over from the King James Version."
|
So, to Jeff Cross and his ilk we suggest that before they attack others, they had BEST get a little more Bible knowledge under their respective belts, first....
Christians never replaced God's Chosen; however, as "grafted-in," they are equal to God's Chosen! But as such, they need to do as the "Chosen" do, which is to become Torah observant believers in Messiah Yeshua and to begin walking as He did. Scripture twisting and paganism are NOT the way to heaven!
Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Yeshua did. (1 John 2:6)
