Dear Refiner's Fire...

Hi,

I would just like to say that I find your article (The Atheistic Assertions of Evil Bible) quite opinionated and factually incorrect (for example, evolution has been proven without a shadow of a doubt to to be true, contrary to your statements - try researching it a bit ). Not a shred of evidence exists in the world proving the existence of any god, and the old (and disproven) argument that it is true because "god said so" cannot be stated, as this does not make logical sense (think about it and you will realise the flaw in this argument). One would need evidence of any such being before making claims such as yours. Remember, believing in something does not make it true. You probably only believe in this stuff because you happened to be brought up in a family where these unsubstantiated beliefs were passed on to you by your parents. It does not make sense at all to believe in something without evidence.

Our Response....

First of all, you are very presumptuous about my having been brought up in a religious family, because it is a completely false presumption. One of my eight "fathers" was a raving pedophile who raped me every chance he got - and he was a supposed "Christian." Because of that, I was pretty much agnostic for most of life - until age 44, to be exact - when my life changed in ways I never believed possible after God "touched" me in a little hicktown Baptist church. Until that day, I pretty much told people where to stick their Bibles....

By the way, I'm not a "Christian" - I am a Torah observant Messianic Jew; there is a huge difference.

You can believe whatever you want, and I'm not telling you that you have to believe as I believe. However, after I "got saved" back in 1995, my whole life changed in ways I can't even begin to describe. I once thought as you did, that there was no "evidence for God," but when I started really thinking about the Earth, the universe, the perfect amounts of everything needed to sustain life, etc., I realized this couldn't have been just a "chance" happening. Please see Conversations with an Agnostic.

I took a good look at the over 300 Bible prophecies and realized there was no way they were all "coincidence" - in view of the fact that two of them have happened in my lifetime: (1) Israel became a nation again and (2) it happened exactly as the Prophet Isaiah said it would three thousand years ago! God took what Hitler did and thus caused two of His major end times prophecies to come to pass!

Before you decide that's a crazy statement, consider the fact that the books of Daniel and Revelation are coming true, as well. They tell us what it would be like in the "end times" (which we are in right now, judging from everything that's going on in this world: See End Times). Those Books tell us, among many other things, that anti-Semitism would be rampant; that the whole world would hate the Jews and Israel; that many would try to take Israel away from the Jews; etc. They also tell us about strange events concerning diseases for which there is no cure, and strange weather patterns, etc.

And check it out - have you ever noticed that every time the U.S. gets involved in Israel's affairs in a negative way, something bad happens to the U.S.? Hurricane Katrina happened right after we helped remove the Jews from Gaza, and ten times the number that were displaced in Israel, were displaced in Louisiana: Gaza Disengagement; More on Gaza; Hurricane Katrina.

A "freak" January tornado hit on the day Bush left for Israel to lay the framework for the establishment of a Palestinian State and the division of Jerusalem for its capital. The place hit: 'Jerusalem', Arkansas. One church was totally destroyed in the tornado’s path: "Mt. Zion" Community Church...

Those are just a couple of examples! There are dozens more. Coincidences? You decide! But please ask yourself: How many "coincidences" can there be?

The Book of Revelation tells us that many people would be beheaded - not shot, stabbed, or hanged, but BEHEADED - for their belief in Christ. Who are the ONLY people who still behead? The Muslims...and they have already started! The Bible also tells us the Antichrist, after 3 1/2 years into his reign, will show his true colors and force everyone to have the Mark of the Beast. I would suggest you try to lay aside you hatred of God and the Bible long enough to read this article because it's a real eye-opener!

The Bible also tells us the Antichrist will make a seven year peace treaty with Israel. Judging from events in the world, that won't be far off. And I promise you, the day he signs that peace treaty, you can start the countdown of seven years of life as you know it left on Earth because, at the end of that seven years, Yeshua (Jesus) returns to rule and reign for a thousand years....

Being an atheist is a precarious position to be in, especially in these times. I don't care whether you think I'm opinionated or whatever, but I would wholeheartedly suggest you check into the things I've said before making up your mind that God is a myth. Your eternal soul depends on it.

Again, thank you for writing and I wish you well in whatever you decide.

Shalom, Shali
