E-Mail to a "Lesbian Messianic" Website... The following e-mail was sent to B'Nai HaKeshet - a site that proclaims to be "online synagogue that is a place of worship, fellowship, and prayer for anyone who is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, straight, or questioning". This site is a perfect example of "religion" because, while it promotes Yeshua and the Bible, it also espouses all kinds of belief in various other things including reincarnation, psychic abilities, and the fact that God is a supposedly a "She".... Dear Miryam, I happened across your website by accident, and I must say, I was quite shocked to discover that someone had the audacity to try to further their homosexual agenda by using Messianic Judaism! Messianic Judaism follows the teachings and Commandments of YHWH/Yeshua, Torah, and both Covenants, which specifically outline God's desires for us concerning every aspect of our lives. God did not "whitewash" how He felt about perverted sex of ANY kind, yet homosexuals continually try to prove otherwise. To say the Bible condones homosexuality - and to have the chutzbah to teach it on a website - is not only a lie, but an abomination in itself. Yes, God loves us all; we are His creation. However, under the Old Covenant, He used to put people to death for disobeying Him. The ONLY thing saving us from that fate today is the shed blood of Yeshua haMoschiach! I read the essay on your Guest Book page mainly to find out whether or not you actually offered something different from all the other "religious/gay" sites; but the bottom line is, you do not. Your carefully worded argument makes every attempt to side-step the "abomination" references by trying to convince readers that they are mainly used in conjunction with the topic of "idolatry" as opposed to homosexuality. You also try very hard to convince people that the Hebrew language and its mistranslations present a problem, which you use as a springboard to insinuate that God didn't really say what the Bible says He said. You continuously talk your way around the fact that God said He HATES homosexuality, thereby dancing around the issue completely.... Below are several points about your website which I felt needed challenging: (1) Firstly, you have a Messianic website - a site that discusses Torah and God. So is it really necessary for people to read about your sexual proclivities? I have a Messianic website, and none of my articles brag about my heterosexuality. What I do behind closed doors is between me and God.... (2) You said: "We believe mostly in what is discussed in the 'Conversations with G-d' series." You believe a man-made document "mostly" over the BIBLE? If that's the case, then you are not "Messianic"! (3) You admit in your essay: "Leviticus 18:22 forbids that a man lie with another man (as a woman). The penalty for such an act is death, so you would expect it to be repeated to make it clear to the people not to do such things. As predicted, it's repeated in Lev. 20:13." Why is it necessary for God to repeat Himself? It's not good enough if He just says it once? In the case of homosexuality, He DID tell us over and over and over NOT to do it, so why are you picking and choosing what He DIDN'T say in order to prove your point? He made it abundantly CLEAR throughout the Bible how He felt about homosexuality! 1 Cor 6:9-10 - 9 Don't you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't delude yourselves - people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, 10 who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob - none of them will share in the Kingdom of God. How can anyone possibly take that verse out of context? It's plain, simple, and to the point. "....none of them will share in the Kingdom of God" if they are participating in "active or passive homosexuality". God made it very clear that He hated homosexuality (a word, which, by the way, DOES include lesbians - thus rendering invalid your interpretation of "homosexuals" being only men). God said it in various ways, including that the two sexes weren't to wear each other's clothes: Deuteronomy 22:5 "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. 1 Tim 1:9-11 - 9 We are aware that Torah is not for a person who is righteous, but for those who are heedless of Torah and rebellious, ungodly and sinful, wicked and worldly, for people who kill their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral - both heterosexual and homosexual - slave dealers, liars, perjurers, and anyone who acts contrary to the sound teaching 11 that accords with the Good News of the Glorious and blessed God. God places sexually active homosexuals on the same level as murderers and liars! How could anybody reading these verses possibly deduce anything else? All you've really done in your essay is to put God in a "box". You haven't proved that God approves of your lifestyle in any way. Your essay reveals that the Bible says what YOU want it to, not what God actually said. (4) You said: "However, being a practising homosexual is not a sinful lifestyle...." and ..."Some of us need to cross some rivers in our lives (come out and live uncensored lives)..." It's not "sinful" to go against God's Word? God tells us not to be decadent in ANY way, so why are you advocating that people "live uncensored lives"? That blatantly goes against everything the Bible teaches! (5) In reading your essay I found myself feeling sorry for you to a point because you seem very sincere in your desire to please God. However, my pity completely evaporated when I saw that you referred to God as "She" and "Her": "But does G-d give us a reason? Yes, She does" and "Whenever we must conclude that G-d changes Her mind, we must then conclude to change ours!" Please! WHERE in the Bible does it say that God is a woman? Remember verses such as Genesis 1:27 - "So God created humankind in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."? God is ALWAYS referred to in the masculine! Yeshua was MALE. Even all the angels referred to in the Bible are male! By trying to make God out to be a woman, you are showing your ignorance of the Scriptures and, like everyone else who doesn't want to follow God's rules, you twist, side-step, avoid, and LIE to people (thus breaking the Ninth Commandment)! Satan is struggling very hard in these last days to snatch God's creation away from the Truth; so much so that he apparently deems it necessary to try to discredit Messianic Judaism - and he's using your website as one of his vehicles. The Bible warns us that in the last days there would be false prophets spreading lies and deceiving people..... What you are doing is no different from the antics of secular television and movies that have been doing their best to promote the homosexual agenda. The bottom line is, God might love YOU, the sinner, but He does NOT condone your lifestyle - no matter HOW you try to justify, avoid, or twist it....You might be able to fool yourself and other gullible people, but GOD knows exactly what you are doing!
