The Refiner's Fire is always on the lookout for false teachers and "prophets" and "conspiracy theory" types who believe (and want you to believe) every wind of doctrine that happens to blow their way. While it is an impossibility to expose all of them, every once in awhile one "falls into our laps," as was the case with Michael from The Farm - who is apparently seeking like-minded believers to move onto his property in "the heart of Texas" for "protection" before the end of 2009 when it "will be too late" to be saved out of the coming flood....
Reminiscent of those cults whose goal is to gather people to live together in one place in order to bring them under their own anti-government, anti-vaccine doctrines doctrines, Mike of "The Farm" constantly bombards his entire address book with emails that are intended to keep everyone "updated" on (and terrified about) the latest issues that appear to be bringing in the "tribulation" (according to certain "prophets" and/or self-proclaimed "experts" on various websites and blogs), and warns people to be leery of our government officials, and to be on the lookout for the Illuminati and "Planet X", and other things that totally detract from the actual warnings in the Bible.

The Farm is seeking permission to send you email messages with Current World News and Latest information of what's happening to America. Most news will be deadly serious and some will be information of a more personal nature like how to pack a Bug out bag AKA GOD Bag or Get out of Dodge Bag. There has also been pdf files sent out on many helpful subjects like canning and how to information of many things....
We believe in keeping sabbath on the seventh day and keeping Yeshua's holy festivals (i.e., Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Atonement, Trumpets, and Tabernacles). We follow the dietary commandments (no pork, shellfish, etc.). In the local group, we are all still learning about these things, and none of us know the 100% proper or correct way -- but we try, and as we go, we will learn together. Yahweh (God) knows our hearts! Each of us are at different levels in our learning -- some of us wear kippahs and tallit and tzitzit, and some of us do not. Some say "Jesus" and "Lord" and some say "Yeshua" and "Yahweh" but we are all moving toward the Sacred Name usage. But the important thing about our group is that we have all come together based on the common objective of the group -- to learn Yeshua's ways and to show our love for Yeshua. We are not a protestant Christian group, nor are we a Jewish group (as in judaism). We are a "hebrew roots" movement group -- we believe Yeshua will restore all of us and enlighten all of us in HIS ways and in these End of Days if we truly seek him (christians, jews, all believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) to one house at His soon return....

Most believers already know there are some terrible things on the horizon, not only through ever-worsening natural disasters, but also due to gross mismanagement on the world's political scene. Most Christians seem to think they will be "zapped out" via a "pre-Tribulation rapture" and be spared, but that simply isn't Biblical (please see our Rapture article). Nobody is going to be delivered from hard times (even Yeshua wasn't delivered from His terrible Tribulation; He had to go THROUGH it in order to become our Final SIN Sacrifice)!
Anyway, during our brief communication with Mike, we discovered that he doesn't know very much about the Messianic faith, and has already incorporated several false teachings into his limited knowledge. These teachings include the "two-house" myth started by Batya Wooten approximately 30 years ago (which has successfully divided the Messianic "movement"), and he has chosen to follow the likes of Monte Judah who predicted that 1993 was the beginning of the Tribulation, that the Abomination of Desolation would be set up in 1997, and that Prince Charles of Wales was the AntiChrist, and who recently began a campaign to get the Book of Hebrews kicked out of the Bible....
Instead of opening his ears to "a voice of reason" here at The Refiner's Fire where our main goals are to teach Truth from an unskewed Bible-only perspective (as opposed to man-made opinions), Mike attempted instead to counter all our suggestions and warnings about false teachers/prophets - and even wrote that he has "wondered about Prince Charles oldest son being the anti messiah" (never mind that neither of Charles'sons fit the description outlined in the Bible)....He even - after we sent him a link to our website that shows exactly HOW and WHY "two-house" is off the mark - gave us a cyber "slap in the face" by forwarding some "two-stick" document for us to read (as if, in all our studies about this subject we still weren't educated enough!). He also very adamantly insisted that we give Monte Judah the benefit of the doubt, forgive him his "human error" and glean the things we can use from his teachings - never mind that the Scriptures command us to shun false teachers and prophets, and clearly warn us that these things would happen in the end times:

Matthew 24: Beware, let no man deceive you. 5. For many will come in my name and will say that "I am the Mashiyach." And many they will deceive. 6. For you are bound to hear of revolutions and rumor of wars. Watch out and do not be disturbed, for it is necessary that all these things happen, but it is not yet the end. 7. Since when are we to follow proven false teachers and prophets? The Scriptures warn us to sharply rebuke them (Titus 1:13-16), not become their followers! With every consecutive email we received from Mike, he showed that he was absolutely not a humble servant of God who desires to promote TRUTH but, rather, someone with an agenda who was recruiting followers who are willing to blindly believe whatever he says...Here's an example of what this "new Messianic" teacher passed on through his email list in the few hours we were on his mailing list - something that was clearly sent to him by some Christian "prophet":

There is an EVENT that is about to take place in the United States of America. The event will strike at the heart of the nation. The shock waves created by the event will ripple out in a circular fashion affecting the entire nation. The waves will be so powerful that much will be shaken and removed from the earth. The Lord say’s to warn the people to BRACE THEMSELVES. Do not wait for any man or organization to BRACE you, you must BRACE YOURSELF.
The storm that is coming is ON THE RADAR. The Lord will do nothing unless he first reveals it to His prophets. The prophets have seen and heard and have declared what has been revealed to them. The witness and confirmations have been multiplied concerning this word. Why would He reveal something to Christians who have changed not only the Savior's Name, but also the dates of His birth, death and resurrection, and are ignoring His commanded Seventh Day Sabbath and Biblical Feasts and are, instead, celebrating their own, man-made "holy days" of Christmas and Easter? Why would He reveal ANYTHING to those who don't bother following HIS commands, those who never even utter His Name, YHWH?)
There are some who have spoken and have begun to retract what they have said or have begun to soften the blow of their own words by pointing the finger at others and their hard words. This is error and fear and reveals a lack of maturity and also reveals a spirit of pride.
Because of the propaganda of the world the saints are becoming doubtful of the words that have been spoken and confirmed through the Spirit of Truth. Many would wish that the words and declarations would be false, too hard, extreme, unbalanced etc. etc. for their own well being. However, the Spirit has warned and has called the Lords people to prepare and be ready.
There is a further word of direction and guidance from the Holy Spirit. You must be POSITIONED where you are going to survive the dread of the next three and one half years. Travel will be near impossible, yet for those who do travel they will be subject to many check points and will be vulnerable to confiscation of goods they may be carrying. (Question from The Refiner's Fire: Where in the Scriptures are we told to "position" ourselves anywhere? All we are told is to use common sense and be spiritually prepared for whatever happens! See Judges 6:7-32; Matthew 24:43-44; 25:1-13; 28:19-20; John 14:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:6-10, etc.)
While I am not prepared to say THUS SAITH THE LORD, I am deeply convicted and convinced that this event will occur on or around Roshashana 2009 or the Feast of Tabernacles 2009. (Question from The Refiner's Fire: Where in the Scriptures are we told to set dates? Are we are told is the "no one knows the exact hour" but that we are to realize when it is "near, even at the door"! See Mark 13:28-36. Funny that this guy had sense enough to say he was not prepared to say, "Thus saith the Lord!" That's because he knew in his heart that this would surely bring wrath upon his head!)
A final word to all is simply this; do not be led by the spirit of propaganda, but by the Spirit of the Lord and the Scriptures. Do not even let well intended ministers assist you in being caught off guard or approaching this moment in a care free attitude. The WORD tells us that we should “REDEEM THE TIME, FOR THE DAYS ARE EVIL” AND “BE READY! FOR YOU KNOW NOT WHEN YOUR LORD WILL RETURN”

Not only is Michael at "The Farm" off the mark, but he is also a date setter! Notice how the above suggests that whoever wrote that "prophecy" suggests that ONLY they have the Truth, and are employing the use of fear tactics in order to get your attention? They quote scriptures that appear to support their "truth" while blatantly ignoring Yeshua's own words: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." (Matthew 24:35-36.)
The Bible clearly warn us about date setting and false teachers/prophets! Whenever someone teaches ANYTHING that does NOT line up exactly with the Scriptures, then it isn't of God! We therefore urge you to to be extremely cautious about what or whom you choose to believe. The ONLY Person we are to follow is Yeshua haHamashiyach! Always ask yourself what HE taught and what HE did, and never follow ANY human exclusively! Yes, there are many of us who love their pastors or rabbis, and that's fine. But that does not negate the need to be careful about their teachings! EVERY teacher needs to be held accountable - and our ONLY measuring stick is the BIBLE!
True teachers and people of YHWH let you know they're not infallible and don't insist you follow "them" or support them financially or materially. They are humble, sticking to the Bible-only theology, and insist you follow ONLY the example of Messiah Yeshua who was our one and only RABBI. They have no personal agendas and teach only the Scriptures; not their own personal opinions about the Scriptures.
So, is it okay to move to someone's farm in these end times in order to come together as a group trying to protect itself from "the world" which, according to the Scriptures, will end up killing many believers because of their faith in Yeshua (Revelation 20:4)? Sure! - as long as the host doesn't expect you to support him or give up all your possessions in order to be able to become a part of his group. Not too long ago the media exposed some tallit-wearing kook in Texas who expected everybody to not only support him monetarily, but he insisted they ALL (men and women alike) take his last name! Oh yes, let's not forget - part of his theology also included having sex with the "family's" teenaged girls....
YHWH gave us all common sense. We must remember to use it when it comes to so-called Bible teachers/pastors/rabbis! If anybody from a place called "The Farm" sends you an email, be very wary - because, if this guy is already off the mark and proven that he is willing to glean from the teachings of FALSE teachers, who knows what could possibly happen once he gets a following?

On August 1, 2009, Michael sent around an email with about a dozen links, telling people that "they" are out to get you and the best thing you can do is to move out of the city:
Leaving the big city and going into the wilderness is going to be quite an experience and a scary one if you are new to this idea. It looks as though we are going to be forced into the wilderness if we want to live so we need to know all we can know just to make it. Here are a few basic clips you might enjoy.
Don't forget folks..........there are foreign troops on our soil at this very moment, "practicing" to come and get you............! Are you going to be at home, waiting for them to come to your door? If you are in a fairly large city....you are going to be experiencing this very soon if you don't get out of there!
On the same day, Michael sent this email, showing that one of his followers had taken his advice:
Shabbat Shalom Everyone,
Last night, I received a phone call from a gentleman who was and is in the process of physically leaving his home for parts unknown. He told me that foreign troops were all over the place and he found it was his calling to leave and regretted having to leave his family behind but he had no choice. I understood this to mean he was leaving brother, sister, aunts and uncles behind, not his close family because Mom was coming with him to live in the wilderness.
He told me of having a vision of three mountains of water coming to land at 2000 feet tall and he heard the roar from it and it was terrible.
We had a good conversation but I heard the seriousness in his voice when he spoke. He also told me that homeless people are being taken out of New York City and shipped to 26 other states. He also tole me of an old abandoned factory where semi trucks are going into it and coming back out of it on quite a regular basis and he also reported that people regularly see enough Turkey Buzzards at that factory site to blacken the sky at times. He said there were thousands of them flying at one time to make this happen. We decided among ourselves that Turkey Buzzards don't stay around an area unless they are eating and I fully suspect that they are processing dead bodies in this underground location and feeding the birds to get rid of the remains or the birds would not be eating something in that large of a mass.

If people are willing to follow the advice of someone like Michael who uses the writings of crazy people and hate-mongers to scare people into moving onto his "farm" then how many more will be falling for the wiles of the Antichrist when he arrives on the scene? This is exactly why The Refiner's Fire is teaching people to NOT listen to the rantings of man but, rather, get into the Scriptures, learn them, and prepare yourselves spiritually, because it's the BEST thing we could ever do!
We at The Refiner's Fire pray that YHWH would open the eyes of many, before it's too late, because Satan and his minions are out there to draw you away from God and into the pits of hell....
